Millions Spent on Kanye West’s Presidential Campaign

During the 2020 US Presidential campaign run, Kayne West spent $13.2 million of his own money. In addition he raised more than $2 million from 3,047 individual contributions.

More than one third -- 1,191 -- self-identified as students. It is estimated that each pitched in $60 to $4,220. More than 20% identified as self-employed and nearly 11% as not-employed.

Most of the money went to "ballot access" services and consulting. West qualified for ballot access in 12 states: Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah and Vermont.

Second largest amount of $918,130 went to Los Angeles Apparel, who provided clothing for the campaign.

With 0.04% of the votes, West came in sixth place.
