Lil Wayne Charged With Possession of Firearms

Lil Wayne has been charged with possession of firearms. This incident occurred December of 2019, at Miami Opa Locka Executive Airport. 

Weezy was on a private flight to California which made a stop in Miami. Weezy already had a prior 2009 gun felony in New York.

Florida's “10-20-Life” law requires courts to impose a minimum sentence of 10 years, 20 years or 25 years to life for certain felony convictions involving the use or attempted use of a firearm or destructive device, according to Florida Statute § 775.087.

Weezy is due back in court next month. He could be facing up to 15 years in jail.
